Islamabad, Abbottabad, Bahawalpur, AJK, Karachi and Okara advances on Day 3 NBP T20 Trophy

Islamabad Vs Lahore:  (Venue: Dring Stadium Ground No.1 Bahawalpur)

Lahore opted to bowl first after winning the toss.  Islamabad made 206 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in stipulated 20 Overs. Muhammad Arsalan again shined with the bat, he made 73.

Lahore, in reply made 190 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in 20 overs.  Amir Ishfaq made 68 runs. Zeshan Abbasi and Yasir Andleeb shared a wicket a piece.

Result: Islamabad won by 16 runs                   Man of the Match: M. Arsalan

Abbottabad Vs Faisalabad (Venue: IUB Cricket Ground, Bahawalpur)

Abbottabad won the toss and elected to bat first.  Abbottabad made 191 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in stipulated 20 overs. Riasat Khan was their leading runs scorer with 90 runs while Sohail Aziz made 40 runs. Shahzad and Ijaz Hussain took 2 wicket each.

In reply, Faisalabad were bowled out on 164 runs in 19th over. Azam and Noman made 39 and 28 respectively.   Riasat Khan and Muhamamd Arsalan shared a wicket a piece.

Result: Abbottabad won by 27 runs             Man of the Match: Riasat Khan

Bahawalpur Vs Quetta: (Venue: New Lodhran Sports Stadium)

Bahawalpur after winning the toss decided to bat first.  Bahawalpur made 219 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 20 overs. Muhamamd Rashid made 96 runs and Muhammad Afzal scored 39 runs.

In reply, Quetta were bowled out 126 runs in 19.2 overs. Ayyaz, Zafar and Saqib took 1 wicket each.

Result: Bahawalpur won by 93 runs        Man of the Match:  Muhammad Rashid

Afternoon Matches

AJK Vs Gujranwala: (Venue: Dring Stadium Ground No.1 Bahawalpur)

Gujranwala won the toss and elected to bat first.  Gujranwala posted 228 runs on the board for the loss of 6 wickets in allotted 20 overs. Muhammad Akram shined with the bat, he made 91 runs.  Muhammad Jamil took 1 wicket.

In reply, Muhammad Jameel’s unbeaten 105 runs helped AJK to chase the stiff target of 229 runs in 18.3 overs. AJK lost 1 wicket in the run chase.

Result:  AJK won by 9 wickets       Man of the Match: Muhammad Jamil

Karachi Vs Peshawar: (Venue: IUB Cricket Ground, Bahawalpur)

Karachi won the toss and decided to use the soil first. Peshawar made 180 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in stipulated 20 overs. Mohsin Khan made 69 runs and Haroon Khan made 28 runs. Muhammad Waseem took 2 wickets, Abdul Wahab and Kashif

In reply, Karachi reached home after a nail biter thriller in the last over of the innings.19.4 over  Karachi lost 3 wickets in process. Ahsan James made unbeaten 92 runs and Tariq Samuel made 37 runs.

Result: Karachi won by 6 wickets                 Man of the Match: Ahsan James

Okara Vs PBCC Young Star: (Venue: New Lodhran Sports Stadium)

PBCC Young Star won the toss and opted to field first. Okara made 269 runs for the without losing a wicket in allotted 20 overs.  Badar Munir remained unbeaten on 182 runs.

PBCC Young Star made 138 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in 20 overs. Muhammad Ashraf Bhaati made 48 runs. Ibrar Malik claimed 2 wickets.

Result: Okara won by131 runs                           Man of the Match:  Badar Munir
